Have you been to Picaro in San Francisco yet? A friend of mine who used to live in the Bay Area was visiting and wanted to meet up. When we asked her what she had been craving, she said that she wanted to go to Picaro. I'd never been before, but I'm always down to try a new place. This place has some of the most amazing tapas I've ever had. I can't believe I hadn't been here before. The flavors were incredible. Their paella does take 30 minutes to bake, so I highly recommend ordering one as soon as you sit down. I really like the rice on the paella. It was cooked perfectly and so scrumptious. I would also recommend coming here with friends so that you can share a bunch of tapas and try a little bit of everything. Some of my favorite things were the calamari, patatas aioli, and the garlic shrimp. Even their blood sausage, which is something that I typically don't get, was really delicious. Their sangrias were also really good. They were a bit stronger than I had anticipated but totally worth it. Plus the staff was super attentive. I can see why my friend was craving this place after being away for so long.
