yo you looking for vacation vibes but in chicago i found a spot right on the beach where you can rent cabanas sip on tropical frozen drinks which are half off on mondays i ordered the caprese salad shrimp and fish tacos but my favorite for sure were the lobster cake sliders made with tarragon aioli and arugula on tuesdays they have karaoke from 5 30 to 8 30 every other week drag bingo on wednesdays from 6 to 8 20 burger and beer on thursdays and friday they have live music five to eight. Oh, and did I forget to fucking mention that they got tabletop s'mores? You can find all of this at Aura on the Lake in Edgewater at Kathy Osterman Beach. They're open seven days a week through Labor Day. Open at noon and close at 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 p.m. Friday through Saturday, and 8 p.m. on Sunday. This is truly a little beach oasis on the north side of Chicago. This spot is definitely my kind of daycation staycation.
