I took my friend to Ikki omakase in Palo Alto for her birthday and this omakase experience was incredible. Watching the chef slice a massive piece of tuna right in front of us was just wow. Led by Chef Lee, Ikki blends traditional Edomaya sushi with modern barriette twist. We started with a variety of appetizers and some of my favorites were the founder with uni, soft braised octopus and the butter pouch lobster. Then came the sushi courses. My top pick was the firefly squid nigiri, such a unique and flavorful bite. From the precise cut to deli... Everything was so fresh and beautifully presented.
