@jesshhiikka's Review of Black + Blue - Vancouver, CA

So here we are at Black and Blue for their Wagyu tasting menu. We started off with some mocktails, I got the spicy pineapple one which was so refreshing, and a couple appetizers. The tasting came with this Wagyu beef carpaccio with lots of truffle shavings and this Wagyu beef tataki. Since it was still happy hour when we got there, we couldn't resist ordering some oysters, and my sister told us we had to try their massive house brioche. Then for the mains, we got 4 ounces of USDA prime strip loin, and of course, A5 Wagyu. They also gave us three sauces, but the A5 barely needed anything. The mains came with cauliflower gratin, mashed potatoes, and crispy onion rings. And to finish, we were served this rich chocolate cake with passion fruit anglaise. Plus, they surprised my friend with a birthday treat, which was so sweet. This whole tasting was actually a promo. $190 for two, but it's valued at $3.90. Such a good deal. I totally go back.
