In just eight hours, I learned how to cook eight different Thai dishes and three Akka dishes. Thai Akka Kitchen is a cooking school in Chiang Mai where you can learn to cook all seven dishes by yourself, of course with detailed explanations from the pros. I chose the morning cooking class with market tour, so after being picked up from my hotel, we headed over to the local market to buy fresh ingredients as well as try some foods that you otherwise wouldn't find at the tourist markets. Once we got to the kitchen, each person gets their own fully equipped station where we learn to make appetizers, snacks, salads, curries, stir-fry, and desserts. The best part is that you go home with a cookbook with 15 plus recipes so you can continue cooking authentic Thai food at home.
