Sainte-Chapelle in Paris

Sainte-Chapelle, located on the Île de la Cité, is renowned for its stunning stained-glass windows dating back to the 13th century. This Gothic chapel was commissioned by King Louis IX to house relics, including the Crown of Thorns. Dominating the interior are 15 massive windows that depict 1,113 scenes from the Old and New Testaments. The chapel's upper level, particularly striking at sunset, captures the glow of the colorful glass like no other venue in Paris.
