Bacteria can start forming in your dog's water bowl within 24 hours. Once I started learning more about veterinary medicine, I realized how fast buildup happens, especially in our dog's water bowls. I use two things that are already in my kitchen, dish soap and apple cider vinegar. I rinse the bowl with warm water. I add a small drop of dish soap. Then I add a splash of apple cider vinegar. Scrub that down real good, rinse completely, and then I repeat the steps one more time. Then rinse again. That's it. Water bowls should be cleaned every once to two days. These small habits help protect our dogs long-term health.
