I don't even like lamb, but I loved it here. Avon is a 4.9 star Persian spot with a stylish vibe and good portions. Their starters are already promising, probably the best hummus I ever had. This smoky eggplant tomato dip was so addictive I couldn't stop. Even the salad is a work of art with a refreshing hit of grapefruit. For drinks, you should get faluda with saffron and rose water or the katu made with pomegranate, lemon, and hibiscus for non-alcohol drinkers. The kebab was juicy and tender. but the real star here is the lamb. They somehow make it not gamey or smelly at all. They serve a beef style stew, but with lamb, so tender. The lamb shank was amazing as well, especially paired with the fava bean rice. For dessert, you could go for the creamy tiramisu, but when you're at a Persian spot, you've gotta get the saffron ice cream and saffron tea.
