If you've been craving true Hyderabadi, Mughlai, and South Indian cuisine in Surrey, Bakka local Indian cuisine needs to be on your list. To sip on, their Saudi champagne, apple juice, soda, and citrus is light and bubbly and the perfect refresher. Then there's the Rue Hyderabad, which is a rose drink that tastes like nostalgia in a glass. The Chicken Dynamite was my favorite appetizer. It was like crispy, boneless bites of chicken tossed in a sauce, like Chicken 65 meets Bang Bang Chicken. And the Zafrani Chicken Tikka had that perfect saffron richness. The mutton mandi was a total standout. Tender meat that cuts like butter, deeply aromatic, and topped with crunchy fried onions. The shadiwala chicken gave big wedding buffet energy, creamy, rich, and paired with the perfect thin naan. The alfaham chicken mandi was so excellent because of the smoky chicken and the buttery rice, and the hadderabadi dam biryani tasted just like home. For dessert, the kadduka khir was subtly sweet and very smooth, but the shadi Shahi tukra with rubbery was my favorite. Fried bread, sweet syrup, and a rich, creamy rubbery. Check out Pakka Local to experience the rich heritage of India right in Surrey.
