Just red wine, wooden tables and the gentle crackle of a fireplace upstairs. Locals come here to disappear, to talk, to sip slowly. Order a plate of meats and cheese, grab a corner seat and let the night unfold. We sipped on a traditional Flemish beer and a crisp white wine and quickly realised that this is exactly the kind of bar that makes you fall for Amsterdam all over again.
