@silversspots's Review of Truth BBQ - Houston, Texas

For Alana's holiday party, we flew down to Houston and decided to stop at Truth Barbecue, which is one of the most highly rated barbecue spots by Texas Monthly. We got there at about 3.15pm and even then there was a line out the door. Thankfully, we didn't wait too long as we ended up getting barbecue by about 3.45pm. I don't know what it is, but I've found that the best tasting barbecue places also have some of the nicest people. Every employee we met here was so friendly and outgoing. We were even given the opportunity to go in the back and talk with the head pitmaster to see the operation behind the scenes. Him and one of the assistant pitmasters were super friendly and answered all of our questions on each table they had three barbecue sauces a mayonnaise and balsamic classic barbecue sauce and a mustard sauce all three were delicious but their barbecue was so good that i didn't really need any sauce a lot of my friend jacob and i shared a platter with brussels sprouts mac and cheese coleslaw pickles pickled onions a beef rib sausage turkey and brisket the mac and cheese was really cheesy with kava topping noodles and a nice crispy top the brussels were a little greasy but were very tasty the brisket turkey and beef rib all blew me away all three were moist seasoned perfectly and were some of the epitome of texas barbecue I took one bite and wow that beef rib was so juicy and delicious. I can't wait to come back soon.
