@saraheatsclt's Review of Elk Ave Tavern - Rock Hill

Okay, this is for all you hidden gem spot lovers like myself. El Calf Tavern, located in Rock Hill, is from the same team that owned Kybie Kybie Food Truck, which I know y'all have seen at places like Slow Play and Hoppin'. This brick-and-mortar location is rich with history and even richer with flavor. Like, check out these disco fries, which have braised beef on top of cheese and gravy. The chicken on a stick was nice and smoky, but holy cow. Look at this double burger. It's everything you could want in a burger. Cheesy. gooey and messy. I was also happy to see some food truck favorites return, like the fried chicken sandwich and the crispy Brussels, which I remember being a huge fan favorite. Something totally cool is that they brought on a pastry chef, Sweets by Chaz. So when you go, you need to order something because let me tell you, these desserts are just out of this world. So check out Elk Ave Tavern. You won't be disappointed.
