So enter LA's Mercado La Paloma and you'll find Hobox, a bib gourmand on the Michelin guide and on Yelp's 100 top seafood spots in the US. And it was that image of the live sea urchin and scallops that brought us in and we weren't disappointed because it was so fresh since they deshell it after you order it. The octopus and scallop tacos were also quite scrumptious but if you didn't get enough the octopus you can also order The popo a las brasas platter so you can really indulge in the tender and flavorful octopus. The smoked kampachi taco was also quite flavorful but had some heat to it. Though the best thing that we had was the yellow fin ceviche. It was perfect the way it was served and we ended up dubbing it the best ceviche we've ever had.
