Today, we're trying Meiji Saimen in Costa Mesa, California. Nadia got their Shabu Shabu Udon with beef. Their udon noodles are freshly made every morning, and you can tell. They were so delicious. The perfect texture. The first sip of broth was a little unexpected, though, but I think Nadia just needed to stir it. We also got their Koldanakasoba. I really enjoyed this dish more than I thought I would. There's no meat in this one, but lots of flavors that work together so nicely. If we had to pick, we'd actually both pick this over the Shabu Shabu Udon, and that's the best seller. Nadia's parents also let us try their dishes, which were the Nabi... yaki udon and the tempura zara soba they do their soba noodles so well here even though their signage on the walls is all about the udon good homey comfort food the weight is real here so make sure you jump on the yelp waitlist ahead of time if you plan to try
