Heroic Italian is definitely a small little hidden gem in downtown Berkeley. I came across it when looking at restaurants in the area, and Canark and I were so pleasantly surprised. We will definitely be coming back. They have traditional Italian pastas, sandwiches, and Roman-style pizzas. Canark got a chicken sandwich, and I got a half-and-half red and white sauce pizza. And I also want to mention how accommodating and sweet the servers were. It's not a typical restaurant. You basically just order your food from your phone, pay for it, and then you can eat and leave. And it's self-seeding, kind of like cafe style. But everything was so fresh, you could see them making it in the back. And I highly recommend getting this white pizza if you go. It was amazing. Both of us loved it. And Canark's chicken sandwich was amazing as well.
