@millisdeen's Review of Coltivare Pizza & Garden - Houston, Texas

Houston Restaurant Week is winding down, so squeeze this one into your schedule. Welcome back to another episode of Millie on the move. This week I checked Alte Varry Pizza and Garden in the high drastic Italian neighborhood restaurant with its own backyard garden. And if you're trying to get in before Houston Restaurant weekends, they're offering a three course dinner for thirty nine dollars per person. My friend went with the Bali High. It was a little on the dry side for me, but still really refreshing for our first course, my friend and I shared the eggplan dip topped with fetta and toasted seeds and served with sprouted crackers along with the kalamarino tomatoes, black olives, and arugula. The eggplant was definitely given, open up your palette because it was light and flavorful. Now this was a star of the show for me. For my second coif, I had the braised chicken with artichokes, green olives, and potatoes. Wow, that chicken was so fulfilling I generally did not need another meal until the next day. It was seasoned to perfection and I'll definitely go back for more. My friend had the pan roasted trout with summer squash and the trout was wonderful. Our only complaint I definitely could use a second fillet, and of course we had to finish with dessert. For the third course, we tried the Fig Leave Panakota with pistachios and fresh figs, along with the old fashioned chocolate layered cake. By this point, I was full fulfilled and satisfied. Overall Cotivari definitely somewhere I'll come back to outside of Houston Restaurant week because I want to explore more of the regular menu, and let me just say this now the customer service was top tier. At least every five minutes someone was checking on us, making sure everything was okay that absolutely stood out to me.
