I'm back at Cockney King's on Hastings to check out their new summer menu, and yes, it is stacked. Started off with the grilled prawn tacos. They're super fresh, bright, and packed with flavor. Honestly, I think their grilled seafood options totally outshine the fried ones. The calamari came golden and crispy. It was served with their house-made tzatziki and some red onion for that extra bite. Light, crunchy, and totally refreshing. Then this Cajun Caesar with grilled salmon. It's smoky, it's spicy, and it's super satisfying. Yet again, the grilled fish is where it's at. If you're here for the classics, the all-you-can-eat pollican chips is still going strong. Their loaded poutine is award-winning. Curds, gravy, onion rings, and that what-what sauce, it's a full meal in itself. Finally, we finish with the deep-fried Oreos, which reminded me of the Texas Rodeo. Crispy, chocolatey, and dusted with cinnamon sugar. It's basically a churro in disguise. So whether you're coming for the classics or the new summer lineup, there's something for everyone and a lot of it.
