Video Transcript

Welcome everyone to London's oldest pub. The Old Cheshire Chief has stood its grounds on Fleet Street since 1667, right after the Great Fire of London. With a major Dickensian vibe and gloomy and dark interiors, this pub is probably the first thing that comes to mind to people when they think of a classic London pub. Interestingly, there is almost no natural light inside and no found reception, making it a true experience from the past. Its location in London's past literary district attracted the likes of famous figures such as Charles Dickens, Voltaire, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Doyle and Dr. Samuel Johnson, the creator of the modern dictionary. You can even sit where Dickens used to sit back in the day, which is exactly what we did. Today, patrons can choose to sit in a variety of rooms, connected through labyrinth-like corridors, stairs and passageways that spread across different floors. The pub food is just great, and there's a variety of local beers, making this place an absolute must-visit in London.
