@texasfoodexplorer's Review of Seafood city - Sugar Land, TX

Okay, apparently this is the ultimate Filipino store. But what's the big deal? Today, we're going to go to Seafood City for the very first time. And it's the only one in Texas located in Sugarland. And it's fairly new. They opened in December 2023. It's an iconic Filipino supermarket and food court. You can find so many things here that they don't normally sell at a grocery store. There's a huge seafood section where someone will bag the fish for you and their meat market. Look at this huge... slab of pork belly. But the best part about it, and my favorite, they have their own bakery where you can find a lot of Filipino breads like entamada, Spanish bread, and chopau. And after all that chopping, or even before, you have to check out their food court serving all the traditional Filipino foods. It's like a Filipino caraniria, also known as toro toro, where you point to an entree that you want and they'll plate it for you. And one of the workers told me that every weekend they sell Filipino street food. And it's not normal. only foods that you'll find behind the counter. I love it here. I feel like I'm back home in the Philippines.
