@rbook503's Review of Jim's South Street - Philadelphia, PA

Hey, I recently tried a few local spots in Philly. First up, Gyms of South Street. Recently reopened after a fire in 2022. The building's now bigger and also has artwork to boot. This famous local spot has a variety of toppings and awards. The meat shop is near perfect. The whiz here just can't be beat. The mushrooms and onions have an amazing flavor and the bread is soft and fresh. Definitely worth a visit. Also right next door, if you're looking for a cheap late night treat, there's Lorenzo's Pizza. The slices here are surprisingly huge. It's cash only and cheese only. And though I'm not a plain cheese fan, the slice here is actually pretty good. Finally, at the stop by Angelo's, one of my favorite spots in Philly. The chopped steak tastes great, but the fresh crunchy bread and Cooper Shub cheddar here are impeccable. Angelo's has a unique flavor not found anywhere else. Definitely try these spots in Philly.
