This past weekend, I had the pleasure of going to DC for my friend's birthday, and we went to Delania, which is a wood-fired Mexican cocina. We started with drinks. Both of us got the Mercado, which is a tequila-based drink with passion fruit, agave, lime, and hibiscus rosemary foam. We started with the Empanadas de Wagyu. They were chef's kiss, especially with the chili chimichurri. I didn't get a video, but the Maryland crab guacamole was so good, y'all. We talked about it for two days after that. The birthday girl got Camarones a la Diabla, which... is just giant prawns and let me tell y'all these were so delicious and i got the short rib tacos which were equally delicious now is it even really a birthday dinner without birthday shots of course we had to do a round of shots to celebrate the birthday girl i hate that i didn't record everything that we tried because everything was so amazing but we were just having a good time but i'm telling you it's all worth it the service was also superb they brought our birthday girl her own little personal birthday dessert which was the carajillo creme brulee and let me tell you she let us taste it it was between the food and the service everything was a 10 out of 10 i honestly want to fly back to dc just to try the rest of the menu if you're ever in the dc area be sure to try delania and tell them that kp sent you
