Have you heard of the Beach Boulevard Club in Buena Park, California? Yeah, neither had I. It's a dueling piano bar located in the Pirates Adventure. Now, I don't know if it's because of a lack of advertisement, but I've never heard of it before. But my girlfriends and I were looking for something fun to do. We were celebrating a late Christmas. Every year we get together for a Christmas dinner and activity. So we found this. And yeah, we had a good time. I mean, I have a good time anywhere I go. Tonight was a night where I was just drinking. iced tea so i was really able to take it all in here's the thing this place has a lot going for it but there are some things that i think can be done better doors open at eight and you're able to start getting drinks and small bites and you have a singer that goes on around 8 30. i have to say i was very excited when she sang taylor swift dueling pianos started at nine sharp and they were both very good they were trying so hard to get the energy up and make it fun but unfortunately for them they're not the ones that pick who comes to their shows and you think if you come to this kind of show that you would automatically be wanting to have fun but a lot of people were just sitting there i'm used to going to dueling piano bars where there's very small tables you just do small clumps of people even if you're a big group you're like four small tables clumped together I think this really helps bring the energy to the room and allows you to have more people. Here, we had long banquet-like tables for large parties, and I just feel like it dispersed the energy. It didn't create more energy, and you didn't get to fit as many people in. But as I mentioned, I create my own fun, and my friend, when she went to the restroom, came back and brought me a pirate mermaid. And the layout of this place also wasn't conducive to dancing, and when you hear music, you want to dance. So do you know what we did? We got out of our table. We noticed the girls in front of us were having a great time at their table. So we got up and we went to them and we started a dance party. There are people of all ages here. The lady they just brought up on stage was celebrating her 75th birthday. You also had people in the crowd celebrating their 21st. birthday so I thought it was kind of cool that there's a place to go where you don't have to worry about feeling too young or too old it was just a place for everybody while drinks are in the air let's talk about the cocktails my friends were drinking Tito's and soda and they were only $10 each that's kind of unheard of at a place like this when they got their bill at the end of the night it was so reasonable so that's a big plus in my eyes so would I go again yes but when you go make sure you go with the right people and make a reservation it's only 15 and don't get parking online when we got there no one was even checking for parking so i didn't have to pay so fyi don't pay up front and if you're looking for somewhere to go for dinner beforehand the cauldron is a real cool spot just a couple minutes away it feels like it's halloween all the time they have real fun cocktails and they have a very fun menu with specials daily
