Eastern Chinese Restaurant is a carryout that I've been gatekeeping from y'all. I've been coming to this spot since I was 15 years old. That's over 20 years, so y'all can do the math in regards to my age. But remember, black don't crack, and I'm still looking younger than some of y'all in that age group that was eating Tide Pods. On my most recent visit, I ordered all my favorites, like fried chicken with a mambo sauce. I didn't know that mambo sauce was only a D.C. area thing until I went to college. I thought it was a standard sauce at all carryouts in the world. Once in college at the real HU, Hampton University, I tried to order it and they looked at me strange like I was talking Dothraki. Let's see who out there actually knows what Dothraki is. Have y'all ever noticed that Chinese carryouts all have the same menu? Sometimes I wonder, are they all secret franchises all owned by some rich billionaire in China? When it comes to food, I always start off with these steamed dumplings and the shrimp egg foo young is amazing if it came to letting you starve or sharing this to save you i'd ask you if you knew your lord and savior just to make sure you'd end up in the right place because i'm keeping my shrimp egg foo young the sesame chicken combo with the fried rice is always a must-have for me as well so i've officially stopped gatekeeping this place try if you want and if you don't like it oh well more me anyway like and follow for more
