@forkingaround's Review of Osteria La Buca - Sherman Oaks, CA

Have you been to Osteria La Buca in Sherman Oaks? I recently went because it was my birthday last week and I needed a place to celebrate with my parents. The interior was great. The service was outstanding. We started the evening off with some cocktails. They were all delicious. I really liked my 67 Ranchero, which was kind of like a spicy margarita. And then for food, we started off with some burrata with some fresh heirloom tomatoes, just refreshing and delicious on a hot day. And for dinner, we all wanted pasta because they make the noodles in-house daily. And that's what you go there for. I got the short rib ravioli, which was excellent. It had this balsamic reduction on top, which was really nice. However, if I was going to do it again, I probably would split it with someone else so I could get another flavor in there because by the end, it kind of got to be a lot for me. My dad got the papadelli bolognese, which was awesome. The red sauce was excellent. The noodles were great. And my mom got the bucatini carbonara with the poached egg on top. Absolutely delicious. We got some broccolini. So we had a little greens in there and we didn't do dessert because I was all already sugared out for my birthday and honestly they didn't bring one but this was an awesome spot and I would definitely go back again.
