Today's eat up, I'm getting my meat sweats on at a churrascaria in Roseville, California. Welcome to Flame and Fire. Definitely one of the better Brazilian steakhouses. I got here before the rush, so I had the salad bar to myself. They even had feijoada, which is a pork and bean stew. A pom de queijo, Brazilian cheese bread. Got a tapioca chewy texture. You gotta get the caipirinha too. This is the national drink of Brazil. Flip the card green to get the meat. First up, garlic steak. Then I got the sirloin. So far so good. Pineapple and cinnamon was a nice touch to break up the meat sweats that I was starting to build up. This was delicious. The picanha, this is the most sought after cut. Picanha is a cut from the rump area, right above the butt. Now surprising, the lamb chops were actually my favorite. This is a definite must eat up. Then there's the chicken hearts, the coração de frango. These are loved in Brazil, but I just didn't like the texture. Didn't do it for me. Ended it with the queijo asado or grilled cheese. drizzle honey on it. Sweet and salty. Check out Flamin' Fire. See you on the next Eat Up.
