ink on we're not damaging the type and this is how you put the ink on so Benjamin Franklin as you know was a great inventor and most of his inventions are improvements on ideas that already exist pretty much everything except the lightning rod that was kind of his idea the original printing press from Gutenberg in the 1400s one of the differences one of the few differences is that now we have a handle that this crank turns his you actually have to physically push in but Ben Franklin this man who's always thinking of how to make life easier he doesn't think of any improvements on the printing press so I find that fairly significant and the reason I say that is you are looking at a reproduction of a press that Benjamin Franklin actually operated in his 20s when he lives in London for a while. The Smithsonian owns it, and we were able to have a copy made. So you're seeing very much what he would have worked on.
