I know I've talked about fresh sushi before, but this has got to be the freshest we've ever had. I mean, they were literally filleting the fish in front of us. But there's no video because it's not exactly a pretty sight. I'm talking about Michelin star awarded Sushi Tadakoro in San Diego, where we had the honor of sitting in front of Chef Tadakoro himself as he prepared our omakase, starting with a special appetizer consisting of three little dishes. very distinct flavors that blended well together. Then we had a sashimi platter, which only needed a touch of soy sauce because everything was so fresh. Then we had a choice of a warm dish, which I went with a Chilean sea bass, since you can never go wrong with that, but we ended up liking her golden eye snapper even more. Onto the nigiri.
