This is not just a big second car. If you're looking for somewhere to cool off this summer, you're going to want to add Carrigan Farms to your list. Carrigan Farms is a family-owned farm that's been around for generations, and every summer, they open up their natural spring pond for swimming. The view itself is beautiful, the water is clear, it's cool, it's refreshing, especially on a hot North Carolina day. Everything was so organized from the moment we checked in. The staff helped to make sure everyone's life vest was secured, they answered any questions that we had, and you could really tell that they care about creating a safe, welcoming experience. You can bring your own chairs and blankets and relax on the lawn or rent a shaded table underneath the shelter There are so many places to swim float jump off the rocks or just hang out So everyone can enjoy at their own pace and don't skip the food Everything is fresh and farm to table and their strawberry daiquiris are made with strawberries grown right from their farm My biggest tip is to try to visit on a weekday if you can the weekends have a really fun atmosphere But the weekdays are less crowded so you get to enjoy more of the space and before you head home make sure you stop by the you pick flower field where you can wander through beautiful rows of flowers and build your own bouquet. My family and I had the best time and we cannot wait to come back.
