This curry Takatsu ramen at Yido Ramen and Sushi in Alexandria is exactly what your big back ass needs to run to. It's a ramen in a creamy pork broth with yellow curry, ginger, boiled egg, sweet corn, and tender pork slices. It's good, good. But before the succulents, I had to get a drink. So I ordered a regular Sapporo beer. And the waitress said, is Sapporo black okay? And I'm like, why black? Are you profiling me? Nah, just kidding. It's the only one they had on the menu. And it was my first time trying it. It was a dark, loud, very Guinness-like. Tried the firecracker sushi appetizer. It's a spicy tuna on a crispy fried rice, spicy mayo on jalapenos, and luckily I took my tums because I love jalapenos on everything. I usually do carry out only from here because my chopsticks game is terrible, and I refuse to use a fork in public at a ramen spot, so I struggle in silence. This is my go-to DMV ramen spot. Great menu, great service. They even gave baby girl stickers while she waited for her noodles. solid kids menu too but portions are adult size so whatever your kids don't eat you can eat follow your boy for more
