six flags over texas in arlington this was my first visit in 14 years i'll start with the bad and then it gets better i promise the park had two new roller coasters since my last visit i wanted to ride them both joker was closed and aquaman didn't open with the park just kind of sat there for a while didn't hear anything from employees and then it had an hour wait so i didn't ride it the good news is i rode a new texas giant this was the first ride ever built by rocky mountain construction rmc enthusiasts often say this is one of the worst rmc's and it is actually one of my favorites to be completely honest. It is so smooth that it's like a b&m hyper coaster with like the floater air. It's not overly intense and I really actually enjoy that. I'm getting kind of nerdy here but I wish their later coaster designs were more like this. Road Titan which was one of the weirdest paced hyper coasters I've ever ridden. It was pretty but I don't need to ride that again. But that's okay because I recovered by riding my second favorite ride park which is shockwave the over 50 year old steel looping roller coaster it has an incredible mix of intensity with these two loops lots of positive forces here you don't really expect it then the back half of this ride is just filled with incredible air time that's like also a little bit janky but smooth and fun we then got on the first ever aero mine train roller coaster which was fun then it was to my biggest surprise which was pirates of spelunker cave how would i describe ride it's like budget Pirates of the Caribbean mixed with a monster mansion from Six Flags Over Georgia with a little bit of a volcano from Lost Island vibe was this an elite dark ride it was not but did I love the attempt I did after we rode we did take a lap in the park to just take in the scenery this park was way prettier than I remember it from 14 years ago there are just small touches throughout this park that are really charming and beautiful before you grill me in the comments. No, I did not ride Mr. Freeze. I don't like that ride. I don't ride.
