This valentine's is exceptionally hard because on February 10th, 2025, my little baby went to heaven. And even though I feel so blessed that he can finally rest peacefully, I feel like I lost a huge piece of my home and my heart. I was invited to a Galentine's at Morena Mia Tacos, and at first I was like, is this too soon? I don't know if my heart can actually do this. But the second I entered, I'm glad I did because it did feel like home. When I first entered, I was like, okay, Brie, you gotta hide all your emotions. You gotta act happy. This is Galentine's. You need to be fun. But the more I did, the more it got harder. A couple of my friends noticed and that's when I started to really feel like I was home. I got to cry and share how I was actually feeling and even laugh at some precious memories. In that moment, I felt like I was loved. My heart felt calmer and at peace. And just when I thought that I was finally feeling better, the food came out and I was like, whoa, it was like eating with my family. You can tell this food was made with a lot of love. It is so fun. flavorful, unique. Like I loved the pink tacos and I finished everything. Morena Mia Tacos and this Galentine's event filled my heart and tummy with so much love and peace. During one of the hardest moments in my life, I just feel so blessed for this community. I thank Lily, the owner of Morena Mia Tacos for inviting me to her beautiful restaurant, which by the way, is one of the only Latino restaurants in that area. So please support her and check them out.
