@flywiththesrys's Review of Hanuman Thai Eatery - Irvine, CA

Today, we're trying Hanuman Eatery. Their original location is in Costa Mesa, but they recently opened their second location seven minutes away in Newport Beach, which is the one we're at today. We started off with their chicken wings with sticky rice. Nine out of 10. These wings were so good, the skin was perfectly crispy, and with the sauce, fried onions, and sticky rice, it's a whole ensemble. We also got their masaman with hanger steak. Wow, 10 out of 10. It's an unexpected combo of savory and sweet in your mouth coming from the cumin, cardamom, and cinnamon. Definitely a unique dish I haven't experienced before. And the bread on the side is so flaky and soft. Lastly, we got their patio. This was an average patio. They cooked their broccoli really well. No hint of that bitter taste, but for us personally, it's a little too sweet for our liking. We used the pickled pepper juices to neutralize those flavors a bit. All in all, a great experience, great food. We will be back.
