There's some restaurants that just look really incredible, sexy, and gorgeous, but I always wonder if the food is actually good or if you're paying for the ambiance. Now, I already knew when I went to JG Sky High for Friday night dinner that I was in for a luxurious experience, but I was so curious about the actual food quality. I started off with a French 75 and a glass of wine before dinner, which were really perfect from the bar. And for appetizers, I settled on the octopus, which was good, but standard. I also got the Wagyu cheesesteak spring roll. which were a little disappointing just complete lack of flavor it was really missing that cheese factor the steamed sea bass really stood out something about the contrast of that savory herb butter topped with fresh mint and capers it was the perfect balance of flavor and the sesame crusted salmon was perfection as well i didn't feel like dessert was anything special nothing really stood out about this chocolate cake and the apple pie was a little bit too tart for my liking i had a couple of really good standout dishes and i'd love to come back and try the brunch menu. I think that that's really where this restaurant shines. But overall, I think the best thing about this place is the bar and the views of the city.
