If you're looking for an authentic local spot in Las Vegas, you have to check out Milpa Mexican Restaurant. Yes, the same one featured on Somebody Feed Phil. This cozy little dining space is filled with regulars who clearly know what's up. We started with the shrimp ceviche, beautifully plated, fresh, colorful, and just as delicious as it looked. Then came the tacos. And wow, beef barbacoa, tender, flavorful, and comforting. Beer-battered fish. taco, crispy perfection with a kick. Shrimp cilantro taco, bright, herby, and full of flavor. Every taco had a touch of heat, plenty of protein, and left us wanting more. For dessert, we tried the apple empanada, not quite what I expected. So I'd skip it next time. The churros were decent, but I wish the chocolate sauce was thicker and richer. I will definitely come back for their tacos.
