Have you been to Lila Ventana in Big Sur yet? The drive down from San Francisco alone was worth the trip. Non-stop coastal views the whole way. What really surprised me is that you get access to everything the moment you arrive, even before check-in. And the same goes after checkout, so there's no pressure to leave right away. It's all-inclusive too, so your meals, amenities, and tips are already all covered. The only extras are alcohol and a few activities. They've got a fitness center, a spa for massages and facials, two beautiful pools, one of which is clothing optional, an infinity hot tub, and even a sauna. The property's super walkable, but there's also golf carts if you need them. They thought of everything, water bottles, hydration stations, even poo bags because it's dog-friendly. Aaliyah Ventana was recently voted one of the best resorts in California, and after staying here, I totally get why. If you're planning a trip, definitely come early and stay late. You'll want to soak up every minute.
