@hungere-for-diy's Review of 55 South - San Jose, CA

Have you been to a Mac barbecue event yet? We got to attend one over the weekend and let me tell you, their barbecue is bomb. This event was at 55 South in San Jose. They had outdoor seating and indoor seating. As soon as we got there, we got a bracelet for entrance. The moment I walked in, Chef John ran over and handed me my first bite. This is a little baguette with some rib and caviar. It was so delicious and the perfect way to get my appetite going. This event was unlimited barbecue and sides. They had smoked beef ribs, brisket sandoes, smoked pork ribs, shredded pork, and smoked chicken thighs. For the sides, they had potato salad, mac and cheese, baked beans, and Caesar salad. Everything I ate was fire. I especially love their ribs. Their pork ribs and beef ribs are fall off the bone, tender, and super juicy. There was a DJ for ambiance, and 55 South had a ton of different drink options. I did manage to get some seconds to enjoy, but I was stuffed to the brim after that. They also had wet wipes for easy cleanup afterwards. If you haven't had a chance to try Mac BBQ yet, I highly recommend you do so soon. Their crew is so much fun and highly talented. Their ribs are seriously worth it.
