If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind experience on Long Island, look no further. I attended the first ever bluefin tuna cutting at Kashi in Huntington. The ticket included the whole tuna cutting demonstration, premium tuna tasting, and eight different varieties of sake to drink from throughout the event. The place was packed out. There's nowhere else on the island doing something like this. It was truly a one-of-a-kind experience and it was really cool to see the different parts of the tuna be cut up and prepared for the tasting. This tuna was 151 pounds and I had no idea idea the most desirable part of the tuna is actually the cheek the tuna was caught from osaka japan and flown straight in never frozen which is actually super rare this was fresher than fresh the sake stayed flowing and everybody did a sake bomb and then it was time to get to tasting this was definitely the freshest tuna i have ever had it basically melted in your mouth you can really tell the difference and how it was never frozen they gave three courses it was sashimi nigeri and then a tuna roll the president of wh restaurant group gave a speech about how restaurants are not just a place you go to eat but it's a whole experience and creating memories i couldn't agree more they're planning another event in august and it's definitely something you don't want to miss
