Peter Chang was a restaurant that I really liked when I lived in Richmond, so I was very happy to find out they had one in Arlington. In D.C. and the DMV, a lot of times when we think of Chinese spots, we're thinking of the curry out with the wings, the mambo sauce, the subs, and the combination platter. But Peter Chang's is different. It specializes in Szechuan cuisine, which I will warn you can be spicy. Grandma's noodles here were really, really good, but it was spicy and I had to grab that water quick. I drink so much. That water I basically baptized myself and now I've been cleansed from my sins for the next two years thanks to Peter Chang. Kung pao chicken was really good kind of had a sweetness to it not as spicy as grandma's noodles. The seafood and tofu hot pot that's a win for me because I love seafood and if you put fish and shrimp and scallops together it's a win and this brown sauce tasted just as good as this golden brown skin of mine looks. So if you're looking for a different type of experience than the typical Chinese food carryout? Then visit Peter Chang. You won't regret it.
