@flywiththesrys's Review of 'ai Pono Cafe - Costa Mesa, California

Today, we're out here at Aipono in Costa Mesa, California. Nadia used to work by when they were just starting out and operating out of a ghost kitchen, and wow, they have thrived. This is our first time at their actual storefront, and the food is just as good as we remember. If not, better. We got their crackhead chicken plate. The seasoning was absolutely delicious, the crispy breading was cooked to perfection, and the chicken was juicy. I don't give these out often, but 10 out of 10. We also got their da roots plate, which has ahi poke, ahikatsu, and marinated short rib. Everything had so much flavor. The marinade on the Calbee was very sweet as a heads up if that's not your jam. The tuna for the katsu and poke was great quality and of course loved their mac salad. We are definitely coming back to try more items off their pretty robust menu.
