Melbourne. I came to Auralia in Kew with zero Sri Lankan food experience and left wondering why it took me so long. This place is proper refined dining with bold flavors that really don't hold back. We were celebrating everything at once. A trip, a birthday, even buying an apartment. And it actually felt like the right kind of place for it. The service is slow, but that's kind of the point. You're here to sit, share, and take your time. Some dishes definitely brought the heat. Maybe a bit too much for my spice-sensitive mom and bestie, but overall the flavors were incredible and an experience worth it for a special night. I promise.
