@hungere-for-diy's Review of Seoul Mama - Newark, US

Have you been to Seoul Mama in Newark yet? As someone who grew up on my emma's Korean cooking, I'll admit my bar is pretty high. But this place completely blew me away. I ordered a bunch of dishes, but here are a few of my favorites. First up, the 꽃sal. Absolutely get this. You grill it right at the table, and the marbling on the meat was so beautiful. It was tender, flavorful, and just melted in your mouth. After all that sizzle, cooling down with their cold naengmyeon was the perfect balance. Their so galbitang might be one of the best I've ever had. Rich, hearty, and so comforting. And there's an unspoken Korean world that you have to order jjajangmyeon, jjampong, and tangsook together. It's a classic combo you always see on the table, and when it's done right, like here, it hits every craving. They just opened a few weeks ago, so make sure to go and show some love and support to this new local gem.
