Have you been back to House of Prime Rib in San Francisco yet? This is the spot to get the best prime rib in the city. Before I go into the food, I do want to showcase my walk up to the restaurant. A lot of people are always commenting on how dirty the city is and how there's broken glass everywhere. Are there areas in SF where you need to be more vigilant? Absolutely. But this is a block and a half from Hopper and as you can see, it looks like a pretty typical street. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a classic old school vibe that sets the tone for the meal ahead. I usually alternate between the house of prime rib cut and the English cut. Both are fabulous cuts of juicy prime rib and you can't go wrong either way. Your prime rib is cut from this cart and served directly to you so it's nice and hot. It's melt in your mouth perfection and served with all the classic sides. Creamy mashed potatoes, creamed corn, and that rich awe juice. It's not just a meal, it's an experience. Every bite makes you realize why people rave about it. Whether you're a first timer or a regular, it's impossible to leave without a full belly and a smile. People like to point out that it's impossible to get a reservation here and while it is difficult, it's definitely possible. I just randomly look on open table from time to time and snag one. If you're a fan of prime rib, this is the place to be.
