African food is some of the most underrated food in the world. Truly, it is some of the best food in the world. And if you never had African food, specifically West African food, specifically Sinhalese food, I got the place for you. This is Goree Cuisine located in Hyde Park. And from the decorations, you couldn't tell me that I didn't walk into the African auntie's living room. We started off with their two appetizers. And of the two, the fataya is my favorite. And it's kind of like an empanada. but just with salmon and a sweet sauce. And we just went in with ordering some of the classics like the mafay, yassa shrimp, yassa snappa, saka saka with the fufu, and the DB chicken. If you didn't know, Senegal is a very coastal country, and that influenced their food to be very seafood heavy. Bore has been a staple in the community since 2016, and they're still going strong.
